The flower is beautiful, and the verses inspiring. It reminds me of the need to memorize scripture. If I hid those treasures in my heart, how different my outings could be. Hmmm. . .you've given me some serious food for thought.

Heidi, it particularly made me laugh, as Mr BB recently commented on my Urban Daisy blog (a most unusual occurrence) and declined to be "Mr BB", choosing instead to identify himself as... Mr Bluesocks.

I admit, it has a more manly ring ;)

But the knee-hi's, that quite took my fancy :D

Well, you're Mrs Beyond Bluestockings, and "knee hi's" are those half size stockings that only come up to your knees... ergo... your children could be "knee-hi" stockings. Okay, okay... I did use to work in the hosiery department at Grace Bros. in Sydney, so maybe its just my humour!

Luke, if I can post about my religious convictions, and the worst you exclaim after reading them is "Curious!", then I call that gracious and right gentlemanly of you ;)

As for how I conceive people without faith in Christ get through tough times? Well, it doesn't take too much imagining because I was there once. I trusted to my own wit and effort to change my circumstances to something more agreeable to me.

That would be, I suppose, the primary difference between my life then, and my life now. Before, my happiness and comfort was my primary consideration, and I held the furtherance of my best interests as my loftiest goal. Now (despite being still rather fond of my own happiness and comfort!) I recognize the single most important thing to be that the will of God be worked in my life. :)

Burstmode, you may not understand cactus flowers yet, but I'm sure if you'd been there to help me, my cactus would have had more definition in the hairy centre bits. :)

Heidi,Knee-hi's?

You're funny. :D

Thanks for visiting!

Oh, no.... just want I didn't want! Biblical proof that complaining is a sin! Oops, there I go again!
Seriously though, an eloquent summary of what I should strive to achieve, not just outwardly, but in my heart of hearts too. I may often (try) to practice holding my tongue, but my thoughts are there, complaining away loudly.
Once again, wonderful blog BB. Beautiful photography...
Oh, and I hope you have a joyful Christmas with Mr BB and the little BB's (or are they termed "knee-hi's"?)

Well I mean curious in both senses . I am curious how you would think people who are not Christian get thou tough times . Yeah I find the whole concept of religion as odd amongst other things , kind of like you would view atheism if you like .

Fee, yes, I have been in the habit of reminding myself that I am not being eaten by lions for my faith. But after reading this on the Berean Wife's blog, I admit that I may change that to...I'm not being "sawn in two" which (if possible) appeals to me even less than being eaten by lions. By comparison, some of the things I complain about are pretty petty.

Thanks for popping by, Jillian (what happened to your beautiful avatar?!) My problem is that when it comes to something that annoys/inconveniences me, scripture is not at the forefront of my mind: clearly something I need to change!

Aha… it is like a knife through the heart.

Well, it's like I said, Ruby. I don't like to suffer alone, and thought I'd share with my friends :D ;)

Whitney, isn't it just the time of year for it! (and here I resist the urge to list why, lol! in case that comes under the complaining umbrella :P )

Richard, I agree that England, as Australia, is by and large a secular country (and I sometimes wonder if they are not both stampeding their way to becoming muslim, but that's another story..)

I don't at all mind you sharing your thoughts honestly here. It would be a crime indeed on my part, as one so inclined to leave strong opinions floating all over the blogosphere, to object to honest thoughts shared at my home base ;)

Luke, curious as in ...one sees something odd and comments "Curious!" as an exclamation, or curious as in you are wondering about something? Either way, thanks for your visit :)
